While you can find commonalities of sex trafficking in every country, there are issues specific to Latin America that make women and children vulnerable to sex traffickers.
Political instability has contributed to the largest migration crisis in the world. Over 6.8 million Venezuelans have fled violence, starvation, lack of access to basic needs and lack of economic opportunities over the past several years. Many women and children were forced to leave to have any chance at survival. This ignited a sex trafficking crisis that is seen in nearly every South American country. This exasperated the once hidden sex trafficking crisis that was already thriving in each of these countries. More than ever, women and children are recruited and sold to sex buyers with little hope to exit. We provide awareness and education for vulnerable and those that are not. We provide holistic exit services for women and children survivors so that they can access the help they need to thrive and live a life of freedom.
Listen to our co-founder talk about how United Justice was launched to become a practical resource for communities to become aware and educated about the realities and the vulnerabilities around sex trafficking, but also a practical underground resource for victims and survivors of trafficking to exit cycles of exploitation.
